The evacuation and drama surrounding it was shown in the final episode of season 2. Scott and George maintain that they have always operated in compliance with Ghanaian law but fled from Ghana with the assistance of the Discovery Channel production crew, rather than risk up to 5 years in a Ghanaian prison awaiting trial.
